Steampunk but Make It Cool

If you want to make steampunk look genuinely stylish for a photoshoot, avoid anything that looks too “party store” and stick with pieces that could actually be worn as clothing. I’d start with a solid base — like a Victorian-style dress, a sharp coat, or a nice waistcoat — and then add those steampunk details like brass buttons, corset lacing, or leather straps. A site I’ve had good luck with is steampunk outfit. They’ve got everything from full head-to-toe looks to small accessories that can really tie a group theme together. I’ve seen some of their coats and skirts in person, and they actually look like they belong in an old-timey sci-fi movie. For a group shoot, you could pick a general color palette so everyone matches but still has their own unique vibe. And definitely don’t skip the little things — gloves, pocket watches, layered necklaces — those details make the photos pop. Plus, you can reuse the pieces for other events so it’s not just a one-time wear.
