How to Keep Currency During Updates

Every time Star Citizen updates, I notice that my aUEC balance seems to drop or get reset, and I feel frustrated. I don’t know how to protect my currency or prevent losses during patches. I really need help from experienced players who understand how updates work and can give advice on preserving my hard-earned aUEC. Any tips, precautions, or strategies to keep my resources safe would be incredibly valuable and reduce my stress.
