Need Suggestions for Designing Unique Woven Hat Patches
Hey everyone,
I’m working on a small custom apparel project and could really use some advice from people who’ve experimented with woven hat patches before.
I’m trying to create a hat collection that looks clean, detailed, and modern something that stands out without being too loud. A few friends told me that woven patches might be the best choice because they allow sharper detail compared to embroidery. That’s exactly why I started exploring woven hat patches but I’m still not sure what design style works best for them.
So I have a couple of questions for those who’ve used them:
Do woven patches actually hold up well on hats, especially if they’re worn outside regularly?
Is the detail really that much better than embroidered patches for small text and thin lines?
What type of backing do you guys recommend iron-on, sewing, or Velcro?
If you’ve ordered woven patches before, which supplier or service gave you the best quality?
I’m aiming for a streetwear vibe, so precision matters a lot. Any examples, tips, or dos and don’ts would be super helpful.
Thanks in advance to anyone who shares their experience!
