In many countries, poultry farming has been a vibrant and integral part of the national economy. Especially in large scale rearing facilities, huge economic losses are often caused by deteriorating environmental conditions, exposure of poultry to stressors and diseases. Probiotics have shown great potential in improving poultry health and well-being and reducing the use of antibiotics.
